Santa Fe™ Dehumidifiers Expands Air Purifier Offerings with Launch of Two Ceiling HEPA Air Purifiers

Las Vegas, NV (Jan. 31, 2022) Santa Fe, the innovator of whole house ventilating dehumidifiers and industry leader of commercial-grade stand-alone dehumidifiers, is adding to its indoor air quality offerings with the launch of two innovative ceiling-mounted high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) purifier systems at the AHR EXPO at Booth C5800.

The Santa Fe Ceiling HEPA air purifiers are designed for installation above drop ceilings in commercial, light commercial, and educational applications. Available in two sizes, standard and mini, these purifiers deliver a 99.97% HEPA effectiveness as well as a market-leading clean air delivery rate (CADR) per dollar of any installed air purification system. The ceiling-mounted installation of the air purifier allows for a very high level of control in specific areas due to the separate return and supply ducts. This promotes better delivery of clean air and allows for a multitude of engineering strategies to be employed to protect occupants.

The Santa Fe Ceiling HEPA air purification system captures contaminants such as certain virus-carrying bioaerosols, wildfire smoke, and other microscopic particulates. Experts agree that HEPA filtration is one of the most effective mitigation measures to slow the spread of COVID-19. According to the CDC, “HEPA filters are no less than 99.97% efficient at capturing human-generated viral particles associated with SARS-CoV-2.” Recent ASHRAE guidance also recommends the use of HEPA filters for wildfire smoke mitigation.

Building operators want proven, affordable, and durable indoor air quality solutions to address concerns about mitigating COVID-19 transmission immediately and that will work long-term to purify the air of other harmful particulates including wildfire smoke, pollution, and allergens,” said Jeff Wimberly, General Manager for Santa Fe Indoor Air Quality Solutions.

The Santa Fe Ceiling HEPA air purifiers run independent of the HVAC system to deliver an increased number of clean air changes per hour without interfering with HVAC system performance.  Installation above drop ceilings or open ceilings frees up floor space, minimizes noise for the occupants, and makes them less likely to be turned off or tampered with. Effective air purification and installation flexibility make them an ideal solution for schools, assisted living and medical facilities, and other businesses seeking air purifier solutions.
